Congratulations to Mallory Wessles from Cicero North Syracuse High School for being selected as the recipient of the Two Chefs From Above Scholarship for 2025. Mallory is a highly focused and mature young lady, and has a real talent and desire for baking and pastry arts. She has worked as a cake decorator at Speara’s Market, and displayed her ability as a cake decorator during the SKILL USA state competition where she finished second. She will take her skills to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park in the fall.
Update from Mallory:

Hello! It’s Mallory, I wanted to give you a life update! I just graduated BOCES as student of the year and was able to give a speech at graduation! I was very honored and surprised by getting two other scholarships as well!
Update from Mallory:

Hello! It’s Mallory, here to give you another life update! I finished my first semester at the culinary institute of america! I am absolutely loving it there even though i haven’t started kitchen or baking classes yet. I am getting those academic classes out of the way and couldn’t be happier! I am part of a volunteer group called Busy Bees that donates food to different charities and hospitals so I’ve been in the kitchens for that! I am started a job on campus as a pastry assistant for catering events like banquets and weddings! I am very excited for that to get some extra experience before I start kitchen classes! I hope you are having a merry christmas and a happy new year if you celebrate! I will attach some pictures below!
I created a baking account on instagram to share my CIA journey if you would like to follow it’s @mixed.by.mal)
